In partnership with Joining Forces and the President’s Military Credentialing and Licensing Task Force, the IT Training and Certification Program is a new initiative to help military personnel make the difficult shift to the civilian workforce by providing training and industry recognized certifications for high-demand IT jobs.
Powered by the Futures platform and sponsored by Cisco, this program provides scholarships for training and skills certifications to help find and secure Information Technology (IT) jobs with industry leaders. The IT Pipeline platform also enables employers to match their jobs with transitioning personnel based on their military training, experience, education and credentials.

GE’s Get Skills to Work program leverages Futures’ technology to help transitioning service members and veterans get credentials, training and jobs with 12,000 U.S. manufacturers. In a five-year partnership, Futures is working with the Wounded Warrior Regiment to expand support for wounded, ill and injured service members across all branches of the military. The offer-to-interview ratios from Futures-facilitated hiring events average 52%, compared to traditional hiring events that typically yield 5% or less. More than 90% of wounded warriors participating in Futures-powered events say they are “more comfortable about their career options” and believe this platform “will benefit other service members.”
